Eric is an acclaimed content creator known for his work on the television series Scout & The Gumboot Kids (CBC), Daisy & The Gumboot Kids (CBC), I Love (TVO), A Window Looking In (Knowledge) and Space Suite (Knowledge). He is the co-creator and showrunner of the internationally acclaimed children’s television series, The Gumboot Kids.
He is the recipient of Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and his work has been saluted by The David Suzuki Foundation and the UCLA Center for Social Impact.
With a broad background that includes advertising and journalism, Eric has developed a distinct and impactful visual and storytelling style that has earned him accolades including multiple Canadian Screen Award nominations, multiple Leo Awards, Golden Sheaf Awards, a Kidscreen Award nomination, and finalist for the prestigious NHK Japan Prize and Prix Jeunesse Prize.
With his wife, Tara Hungerford, they lead Imagine Create Media, directing the business affairs and content creation on a slate of award winning content that includes television series, digital video and apps, storybooks, music and live shows.
Tara Hungerford is known for her internationally reknowned work on the television series Scout & The Gumboot Kids (CBC), Daisy & The Gumboot Kids (CBC), I Love (TVO), A Window Looking In (Knowledge) and Space Suite (Knowledge). She has created over 150 episodes of scripted and unscripted award-winning content. She’s also directed episodes of the award winning unscripted series The Shopping Bags (W Network), Making It Big (Slice) and The Week the Women Went Seasons 1 & 2 (CBC).
She is a sought after Producer and Director known for her creative leadership in aesthetics and storytelling. Over the past 18 years, Tara has built a portfolio with over 250 credits in documentary, television series, music videos, short films and music videos. Her work has earned six Leo Awards (directing, writing, program, production design), two Golden Sheaf Awards (best program) the Kodak Spotlight Directing Award (female director) and multiple Canadian Screen Award Nominations (best program, best production design). Recently Scout & The Gumboot Kids projects were Finalist for the prestigious international Prix Jeunesse Award and the NHK Japan Prize.
Tracey is an award-winning Producer with over twenty years of experience producing more than 120 hours of content, in both live action & animated film, television and digital media, with a focus on programming for children and families. At Imagine Create, she supervises all of the company’s productions, manages the finance department, and handles the business affairs for each production, ensuring tax credit compliance and optimization of financing.
Tracey was formerly the Director of Development, Business Affairs and Marketing for Bardel Entertainment, and also served as their Associate Vice-President of Production, where she supervised productions for YTV, Teletoon, Radio-Canada, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
She has an MBA in Arts & Media Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University, a BAA in Radio & Television Arts from Ryerson University, and is currently an Executive Producer of Women in Animation Vancouver’s ACE Program, providing training to women across Canada to enter senior level roles in the animation industry.
